TopGun Rules

  1. On weekends, field opens at 8:00am. Orientation begins at 9:00am. First game begins at about 9:15am. Last game ends at 4:00pm. You get more play time and average about 12 or more games daily!
  2. Players must be at least 8 years old to play.
  3. Players MUST wear full face protection, (goggles and mask) anywhere there is a possibility of being struck with a paintball.
  4. Hi-Tech/Advanced games include all semiautomatic Paintball guns. Players may also use any pump gun. Maximum allowed velocity is 285fps (feet per second).
  6. A player is eliminated from a game if they are marked by a direct hit of a paintball anywhere on their body, from the top of their head to the tip of their toes, and Paintball gun or anything else they are carrying.
  7. Players must stay within the boundary lines of the field they are playing on.
  8. Once eliminated a player must leave the field as quickly as possible, without informing his teammates of any opposing player positions. (Dead men don’t talk!)
  9. Players are expected to play honorably, and call themselves out if they are hit.
  10. Cheating ruins the game for everyone and will not be tolerated.
  11. During recreational (non-Tournament) play , a 20ft surrender rule is enforced. If a player comes, unnoticed, within 20ft of an opposing player he or she is required to announce their presence and demand surrender without firing. Surprised player is then obligated to call themselves out without shooting their opponent.
  12. Zero tolerance policy of drug and alcohol use on property. For the safety of the player and everyone else, players suspected of intoxication will be asked to leave.
  13. No climbing trees, digging holes, setting traps, firing anything other than paintballs from guns, slingshots, taking prisoners, or capturing other player equipment.
  14. Don’t go in the lake!
  15. 13 and 14 sound like common sense, but they’ve all been tried.
  16. No physical contact (other than shaking hands and an occasional hug) is allowed. Any physical confrontation will result in immediate expulsion from TopGun and possibility of being introduced to our friends, the Jackson Township or New Jersey State Police.
  17. Please clean up after yourselves.
  18. Inform any TopGun staff member if you see anything that might present a danger to players. We’ve got 130+ acres of woods and fields to check. Weather often results in fallen trees or branches. We do our best, but sometimes stinging insects decide TopGun is a good place to live. Let us know and we’ll take care of it.
  19. Don’t bother the wildlife! You’re a weekend visitor to their home. Please be a respectful guest. Typical wildlife found at TopGun include deer, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, chipmunks, groundhogs, muskrats, wild turkeys, geese, ducks, buzzards, frogs, fish and the occasional escaped lion or elephant from our next door neighbor Great Adventure (kidding about lions and elephants.) Most of the animals keep their distance from noisy humans but if you do see any, don’t try to play with them, especially the skunks!
  20. All decisions by referees are final. If you have a problem that isn’t resolved to your satisfaction please see one of the owners who can usually be found at the main building.

Play hard, Play safe, Have fun, and Come back again!
